flowerbirth Though just over half of Caido embraced the cold during Deepfrost, many did not. And so, as Flowerbirth dawns, the Eirachi seems reluctant to fully relinquish her hold on the world. Her chill isn’t biting, exactly, but it lingers in the mornings and clings to the ground long after sunrise, muting the warmth that ought to accompany the season. Perhaps that’s why Ghilio, Flowerbirth’s patron deity, seems so slow to awaken; with Deepfrost still lingering at his heels, the god of spring appears content to sleep a little longer. Plant life is sluggish this season. Buds that ought to be bursting open remain tightly furled, seeds are slow to sprout, and those flowers that do manage to bloom do so later and in far smaller numbers than expected. The cold brings dryness with it, too, and in the absence of the usual rain and new growth, something else has begun to take root across Caido. New varieties of tangleweed have appeared in every region, winding through gardens, fields, forests, and city streets alike. Hardy, stubborn, and far too enthusiastic for a plant that ought to be asleep, it seems quite determined to make the most of a Flowerbirth that can’t. Welcome to Flowerbirth 321 PC! If you're interested in the weather for your region during this time, please visit our SEASONS page! This event will run from July 1st to August 31st. All requirements must be met to complete the event. Multiple characters can participate, but the threads do not carry across! (I.E. Both characters must complete all threads to gain +1 Luck/100MP each). Please use the Seasonal Event prefix in your thread titles. Once all requirements are met, post them here with your OOC account, linking the necessary threads and whether you'd like +1 Luck for your character or 100MP! Threads must be archived before the end of the season in order to be accepted. 1. Help wake Ghilio up! Go into the Oerwoud and try and stimulate the seasonal deity somehow! (With noise, with plant-growing techniques, with threats, with fuckery, up to you!) 2. Cleanup post-LongNight OR prep for the upcoming year! 3. Encounter a tumbleweed serendipity and interact with it! 4. Procure an offering for the Flower Festival (can be seeds, fertilizer, something grown, flower crowns, etc) and then attend the Flower Festival SWE (link to be posted) |
