Character of the Season
Frail in body but dangerously quick of mind, Nikandr is the sort of character who proves that curiosity can be just as perilous as any weapon. A necromancer, inventor, and problem-solver with more ambition than self-preservation, Niki approaches the world like a puzzle box begging to be opened, even when what’s inside has teeth. Blunt, dry-witted, fiercely independent, and carrying a history best left partially buried, he has a knack for making even failure feel fascinating. Whether he’s raising the dead, moving across Caido to King's End, or experiencing a hangover for the first time, Nikandr brings a wonderfully strange spark to Caido, and we can’t wait to see what trouble his brilliant mind wanders into next.

Nova takes the reluctant words as a compliment, beaming with pride as he's suddenly mentioning actual dancing. "Ooh! I'd love to go dancing! I've only really danced with my sister." She clasps her hands behind her back to lean forward with an excited grin, not realizing that she may be 'flirting' as she says, "Maybe it'd be more fun with a cute guy." Because, honestly, innocently, she thinks it might be more fun with someone taller and stronger who can lift and twirl. Since she and Caly are the same height, that doesn't really work.
Moving on to the next 'stance,' she has renewed energy and interest in the forms, a light bounce entering her steps again. She giggles at the awkwardness of the position, leg barely tapping the ground as she brings her arms up in 'claw' shapes. Fully invested in Koa's analogy, Nova lets out a playful hiss that's scarily accurate considering her tide jaguar shift. But it doesn't last long as she breaks into more giggles, looking to the Dragoon as she reaches out a 'paw' like she might swipe at him, a brush of air magic making it feel like she just missed his face.

"Your sister?" Koa asks, not sure whether to be amused or terrified by the prospect of a second Nova out in the world. One feels like she carries enough wattage to power the entirety of the Tower. But the suggestion of a cute guy has him grinning, because for all his recent personal growth Koa remains a vain himbo at heart who assumes all compliments are meant for him. "I can guarantee it would be," he replies, eyebrows wiggling playfully. "All dancing is made better with a pretty partner and a good attitude."
They've abandoned all semblance of seriousness, now - or Nova has, anyway; Koa's still trying his best, years of training engraved like runes upon his soldier's bones. But the antics of his partner do provide a good deal of levity, and Koa finds himself laughing with sunny surprise as wind brushes against his cheek, revealing a magical ability he wouldn't have guessed. "Not bad," he says, smirking, before extending a finger into the air, a boop motion that Nova will feel as a tiny spark of electricity upon her forehead, despite the distance between them both.
Ah, but as much as he's enjoyed this interlude, Koa does have a workout he needs to complete. "I need to finish my run," he tells Nova, straightening out and stretching weighted arms above his head, revealing toned and chiseled abs beneath the hem of his shirt. "But if you're gonna be in Stormbreak for a while, maybe we'll run into each other? I can show you some of the better dancing spots in town."

The topic of her sister is one she's more than happy to gush over, her expression blinding in its brilliance. "Mhm! She's incredible! And very pretty, like a sunset where the stars are just starting to peek through." Her eyes get distant, a shimmer of golden illusion magic coloring the air around her as she pictures Caly. But then her imagination shifts to one of dancing with an attractive dance partner, excitement making her overactive movements spike to a low hum. "I guess I'll have to find out!" Whether that's with Koa or someone else, Nova couldn't care less, more interested in the activity than the person.
Her eyes expand to comical size as his casual flick is felt clearly - and with sparks - in the center of her forehead. An explosion of giggles erupts from her chest as she breaks her stance to rub a hand against her tingling forehead. "That tickles!" And she might have retaliated with more air magic (and a light showering of glitter) if he didn't stretch and begin to excuse himself. Nova still doesn't gawk at his physique, instead flitting over it as she clasps her hands behind her back, a light bounce making her blonde and pink hair flutter around her cheeks as she grins up at him. "Okay! That'd be fun! Have a good workout!"
In a flurry of sparkles and vibrating energy, Nova spins with a playful wave to both dragon and Dragoon, skipping back down the path of the Celestine to gods know where, a bouncy tune on her tongue.
