Ever heard of the butterfly effect? It's a key concept in chaos theory.

It hangs on the idea that a butterfly flapping its wings in one place might cause a deadly typhoon in another. In this case, the butterfly is named Flora Kaito-Taliesin, and the typhoon has just blown out all of the windows in the Tower.

It's true that Flora is just the last in a long, long, long list of slights, of things very much ceasing to go to plan, and no amount of broadcasts or words of encouragement from Dorian or taking back the Oerwoud is going to cut it any more. Dahlia has been patient.

Dahlia has lost patience.

And now we are far, far beyond that.

Broken glass litters the courtyard at the base of the tower as the skies above Stormbreak darken, as if a tempest is rolling in overhead. Citizens - a lot of them - begin to run, but a great deal of others merely stop and admire the way the clouds part, the way dark violet wings cut through and the maw of a colossal void dragon opens.

Dahlia exits through the main doors just as it unleashes the blast of void energy, electrifying the air and causing it to pulse with indigo static. As it hits the Tower, the impact can be heard, echoing and vast, across the region and even below it. As far as Torchline, the sound of the Tower's fall will be audible, deafening, final. Stone shatters, columns crumple, and the structure simply ceases to be, leaving only a few jagged and smouldering spires in its wake.

And the dragon isn't going anywhere either; with a heavy flap of its wings, it lands among the ruins of Stormbreak's seat of power, makes itself very comfortable, and waits for its mistress to return home.
