and the only solution was to stand and fight
That inquiry seemed to have sparked a reaction; either in the mass of contradictions or confusion. To hear Damien hadn’t tried it yet didn’t surprise him, not with how the conversation about deities and heralds had been going. “Or rewarding,” Deimos gave with a light wrinkle to his nose, a vague smile. He’d been in enough battles amidst Accepted to know and understand the implications that came with the prowess of channeling – the power flowing, potentially ensuring one’s side turned the tide of battle. Or trickier, if the speaker wasn’t terribly specific.

As they neared the Citadel though, he listened to Damien’s reverberations, as the other man seemed to mull back and forth over the specifics, the potentials, and the opportunities. Deimos wouldn’t be steering him in any direction, but certainly gave another version, rendition, and perspective, of what things could potentially be if he merely gave an attempt. “And if it does turn out to be something you do not enjoy, then you could at least say you tried.” He shrugged again, the quip eternally in Damien’s corner.

When they approached the walls and gates though, he knew it’d be a parting of ways, supposing the Accepted would find time to mull it over into its eventuality. “I need to go place these – it was nice meeting you. Good luck.” And with that, companions and sled in tow, he headed towards the Palace, to stockpile and then disperse as needed.
