When Vesper teleported into the patch of gourds and drop-kicked one, the soldier snorted a laugh. That was certainly one way to investigate, and it appeared to yield results. The kicked gourd seemed to be normal, the poor thing, but some of the others... well, let's just say that Rhiannon had seen too much movement for them to be anything other than vampiric.
When Vesper reappeared at her side, she said, "That's a neat trick." Completely unfazed, she pointed out a handful of gourds in the patch. "Those moved. Should we kick a few more, d'you think?"
