Evie
Come rest your bones next to me
And toss all your thoughts out to the sea
“Maybe we’ll dance around a bonfire at the reception?” She leans cheekily into the trailing considerations he supplies, grinning at the idea. It’s something she’ll happily do if it comes to pass. Chaos is a fine line to walk, but Evie won’t let herself grow boring in her maternal era.

Healing? Oh, now he really has her attention, enough so that her hands dither and linger as blue eyes go wide and perhaps a little starry. “I wonder…we’ve never considered a healing component to larger fixtures like the cannon. Would that even be doable? Certainly not on the scale regional trade could provide but -”

The rest is lost in an undignified yelp as he hooks her leg and expertly flips their positions, rattling the various jars on the nightstand. Comically blowing hair out of her face, the Evergreen shoots a wry stare up at her husband even as her hands go right back to his hips - from the other side this time. “So impatient, you never let me finish,” she bemoans. A wicked smile cuts across her freckled face, utterly devilish. “At least in some ways. Come here, you.” She pulls him down into a kiss, smirking all the while - she has to get her word play in where she can. It’s only just deserts for Deimos interrupting her planned night of spoiling him.
I'll pull up each of our anchors
So we can get lost, you and me

DEIMOS
the fire can't touch me
for I have burned too many times
A very undignified grunt and snort made its way through his chest at that particular nuance; it would be hard-pressed for the Sword to forget the chaotic array of the Blood Moon festival. “Or escape before then.”

As for her other insinuations, were he not already distracted by other thoughts, he would’ve lent far more credence to them. All he had in his mind was the aspect of some sort of cannon-like fodder of healing inclinations bursting over their citizens, and he couldn’t help but laugh.

“I am fairly certain I let you finish first quite often,” he snickered in response instead, already lowering his head to sink into her; and to show the rapt, fervent acknowledgments of her mending attempts; though in a far more vehement and ardent endeavor.

[FIN]
the sea can't harm me
for I have been drowning all my life
