He realizes as Soh sighs with near exasperation at the place she's put herself in that he's somehow turned this into being about his heartaches instead of what Flora needs, which had been the whole point. He eases up a bit, holding back on all the lingering questions, aware that Soh doesn't, can't have all the answers. Some he'll have to get from Caly, and Flora, and just, time. He also can't just keep spinning it all around, trying to look at it different just because he doesn't like what he sees.
It all feels like too much of a choice to make though, too wrong. He's not going to abandon Flora just because he wants to be with Caly—love should add, not remove. Flora is only his friend too. She can't be more, he won't let it become more than it already has and hurt Koa and Caly again. But, he needs to figure out how he can add distance back between them without... growing distant. He also doesn't want to leave things as they are with Caly. At the very least, he wants to explain a bit better to her, but he does want to try again, maybe find out if she likes tea or coffee when she wakes up while he's at it.
So, while Soh is more or less telling him he'll have to pick, he won't. It can work, so long as he loves them in different ways.
"Thanks, Soh." He pulls out a soft smile, glancing at her with appreciation, especially for the last thing she said. "Flora's lucky to have you in her corner." He can breathe a bit easier knowing that too.
"So, what do you say we smash some s'mores and we finish burning paper?" While they're at it, he'll ask her about Noe, and all the Family bullshit, and even a little bit about Koa just to see what his cousin has been getting up to.
