COLT
I'm homesick for somewhere that doesn't exist
For someone I'm still learning to miss
Said goodbye, wasn't ready yet
Only see you in this silhouette
For someone I'm still learning to miss
Said goodbye, wasn't ready yet
Only see you in this silhouette
It's been storming since dawn. She tried to wait it out, sipped her coffee and stared at the clouds out her window like they might let her know their plans. They didn't, but she's seen enough of 'em to know they didn't look like they'd quit any time soon, and the work certainly doesn't, so they'd moved cows through snowmelt until everyone was half-frozen and miserable. She showered, not because she had any hope of staying clean, but because it warmed her faster than the fire, though she used it too in order to dry her wet hair before heading out again.
She could wait, she supposes, but the storm doesn't feel like it'll let up any time soon and her to-do list won't get any shorter. When all's said and done, she wouldn't melt out here. Her horse has a bit of a different opinion, his head tossing away the drops that sneak into his ears, irritation an unusual trait in Beans, but everyone has their limits. She parks him by a tree for shelter, giving his wet hide an apologetic pat before slipping off to the shrine. Water pelts her hat, the sound like hail, but luckily the frost is pulling back that it isn't so. It bounces off her rain jacket, the long tail of it keeping even her legs mostly dry, save for a crease here or two where the wind teased it in. Underneath, she's warm in folds of jackets and chaps, sweaters and jeans, but both her and her horse are dappled excessively in mud.
She doesn't know Safrin well, but she's guessing the goddess won't much appreciate the wet summons. So Colt pops open an umbrella, holding it over the shrine, where she busies setting down a fur-lined, long coat for her, wrapped in some hide to keep it untouched by the weather. Sensible enough for the season, but truly something elegant and decorative, meant to be worn to be noticed, more than used to keep dry. Next to the coat, she sets down a glass. Slowly, having only one hand really free now, she pours several different liquors into it, even managing the lemon garnish. The bottles clink in the bag at her side as she puts them away one by one. She might have been thinking about this for a few nights now and gotten some tips from the bartenders at the House. Though it's not something to her liking, not in this form anyway, she hopes the vesper will do for Safrin.
"Safrin," she murmurs into the dark, soft with uncertainty. She's never called on her before, has been warned to avoid her, even. But she remembers the way Remi's hand had recoiled from the belt buckle last year when she proposed the rodeo to him, as if the idea of something graced by Frey might bite him. Got her thinking that it might best suit everyone if she offers different blessings each rodeo. "Hoping you could help me make a prize for the rodeo this year. A belt buckle to outshine all the rest." Literally, in fact.
Colt is requesting a shiny belt buckle that will cause disadvantage when used.
I think she still has her level 3 item pass if her roll fails. I think I offered it up one other quest before but not sure it got used on that?

I'm homesick for conversations I would avoid
And now I miss the sound of your voice
Now there's nothing but a shadow left
So I'll just keep on chasing shadows of you

Received a Gilded Market wig from Remi that resembles her usual hair and is enchanted to stay on better than most wigs | has a reverse centaur tattoo on her left hand with the legs going down her pointer and middle fingers that looks like this.
