Dare we know the halo's hanging low
Deimos rolled his eyes at the comments. Simply because they chose to combat and challenge him, and didn’t have the prowess to back up said actions, didn’t mean he was cheating nor committing war crimes (and he'd certainly know about the latter). Instead of giving any other bolster to their irritation and ire though, he waited, knowing they’d have come counterstrike impulsively coordinated.

Theea and Damien ‘s methods were intriguing – he’d give them that – considering he’d spent multiple rounds shoring up the strength of his fortress. They’d find themselves hitting a steadfast, sturdy bulwark of snow and ice, and might even smart against their sides or shoulders.

Ducking from Theea’s propelled snowball, he snorted, feeling Damien’s flutter on impact nearby, just along his hip. Unbothered, and amused that they’d opted to get far closer access to his impending forces, he launched his next assault from behind them – snagging at a layer of snow with his magic, Air and Water and Earth combined, before maneuvering it above them. They’d likely have just enough time to escape and evade if they deigned, or become submerged in a light layer of fluff.

daughters made claw first
The maniacal laugh echoing, thundering her name, made her nearly regret her decision. “What the fuck,” she uttered, unaware that her invisibility was currently being outlined by a layer of snow, brows furrowing, until she glanced over shoulder. “Shit,” and she tried to desperately brush some portions off, but the damage was likely done. Only thing that might save her now was (more cheating) her speed, and she took a large inhale, rampaging towards the closest wall.

Save for y’know, the gods damned ice suddenly around her.

She slipped, she slid, had she been fully visible it would’ve been quite a sight to see – instead one might catch the faint glimmer of arms outstretched overhead, trying to right her ridiculous movements. “Dickhead,” she announced, mostly in a whisper, as if she hadn’t brought this on herself. Opting to crawl instead, which also probably looked stupid and dim, she ducked down low enough and over the small patch of ice, until she could ultimately bound over the wall.

Wonder why I tear myself down
just to get built back up again
Success is a thrill that spiral through him when she goes sliding down onto the ground, giving him the necessary hold up to consume some of the gap between them. It's difficult to keep up a swift pace as a bout of laughter argues for use of his breath. The sight of her falling down had been enough, but to see her crawling like a child playing at horse sends him. He soon sees why though, as she scrabbles for another barrier, where he's at risk of losing her to some other ploy he's sure.

"No you don't!" he cries out, his pursuit unyielding as he eats up the distance amid a spray of snow. He avoids the icy patch, flinging himself over the snowy barrier in his urgency to not lose track of her. His jackets tug and whine with fabric jostling as he thuds into the ground behind the barrier. He breathes for a second, blinking against the splash of white, but immediately he starts twisting back behind him where she's sure to be tucked up close to the base of the bunker.

She could hear the outcry, but the juvenile persistence emboldened her further, crawling over the wall, seemingly out of the boundaries of the snowball game. Whether or not that would mean either of them abided by the rules was another thing altogether, but she began to crouch, slowly inching her way along, figuring she could crabwalk around the barrier and go…somewhere. Hot cocoa sounded nice.

But then he was doubling back and she froze – eyes widening, hoping her invisibility was continuing to prevail. Maybe she needed to do something else…

Utilizing her wild magic, the next few sounds were one of wild, rampant applause – hopefully distracting, confounding, and confusing enough for her to take off, making her way over to the kiosks.

Dare we know the halo's hanging low
The rallying outcries of snowball fights and pandemonium continued and persisted through the course of the day – until ultimately some dispersed, changed course, or ended up heading towards the hot cocoa kiosks. In all parameters, Deimos hoped enough of them had been thoroughly amused (he was; quite content with the bulk and prowess of his fortifications), and would recall their methods throughout Caido – whether it be amidst battle, or merely play.

Eventually, they’d wrap up the festivities, permitting everyone to partake in bits and pieces of peace and repose again – unless someone else stirred up the assaults and sieges once more.
