What do you get when two ruthless assassins raise their daughter travelling through the wildest reaches of Caido? Take one look at Theea and you'll get a pretty good idea. Cheerful and tenacious in equal measure, and curious beyond all else, she began her journey on a mission to find those her mother once called family. And find them she did, soon rubbing elbows with demigods, leaders and even ghosts from the past. Her determination is resolute, her thirst for knowledge unmatched. We can't wait to see where her next adventure takes her!
Congratulations, Theea!

You've been drinking... a lot. Like, a lot a lot. Ever since fucking LongNight and Kane/Shaju and Vai getting beaten up and everything else, it's been rare to find you without a bottle in your hand. You've been at the Hanged Man about as often as home, which is not a good look for you or your relationship, but what's a drunken fucker to do?
Answer: drink more.
You tap two knuckles on the table, the universal symbol of make it a double. Monsoon season sucks. People suck. The anniversary of your kid dying? Sucks. Y'know what doesn't suck? Sitting here and glowering at anyone who dares approach, while nursing your umpteenth glass of rum and avoiding your problems. You've leaned back into your chair, arm thrown over the back as you wait for your order to be filled. Yup, this is the fucking life. Absolutely nothing wrong with your coping mechanisms.
No sir-fuckin'-ree.

Jack's heard about the wallowing that his eyes and ears on the shore has been doing since the whole bullshit with LongNight and the Governor and all that. Hells, most of Torchline has heard about it. And one would think that the long-time friend of the suffering alcoholic might be here to offer a ray of light, a grain of wisdom... anything, really.
"Zeph, I need you to let me punch you in the face."
Not Jack, apparently.
The captain sidles into the seat next to the dockhand, tapping the bar for a drink and turning to look at Zephyr with a cigarette between his lips. "Damn, you do look like shit these days," he mumbles, taking a deep drag and huffing out a whorl of smoke. "Then again, might be a good thing for you. A crack across the face wouldn't make all that much of a difference."
Oh goody, it's Jack, and he wants to punch you in the face.
You raise an eyebrow at your friend, licking your chapped lips. "That right?" Wouldn't be the first time you were punched in the face this month, but usually people don't ask before doing it, they just lead with a swing. It's a strange amount of courtesy for the Ark's captain to show, which is the only reason you don't respond by punching him, first.
"An' y'look like a basket'a roses," you drawl, nodding at Mik as he brings over the pair of drinks. The smoke cloud has you batting it away, a low grumble in your chest; it reminds you too much of El, prolific smoker that she was, and when you were both young. Fuck. "Dunno. Black eye'd look more distinctive on yer pretty mug."

"Well ain't you sweet." Jack stubs out his cigarette and accepts the drink from Mik, raising his glass before knocking it back in one. It doesn't touch him these days, drink or smoke or drugs or sex - it's all just habit. But Zeph might be able to help with that, and Jack hopes very hard that the fact that he hasn't just gone in swinging might prove to this curse that he really does want to please the dockhand, most days.
"Much as that's true, I gotta get this black eye off you," he murmurs. And with that, he waits until Zeph is facing him good and proper, and then goes for it. Jack's fast, at least, and he doesn't aim for a cheekbone or anything. But he does put his whole strength behind it, just in case curses can tell about that sort of thing.
Once it's done, he taps the bar for Mik to supply Zeph with as many more drinks as he can handle, claps the dockhand on the shoulder, then rises to his feet. "Pleasure doin' business with you," he calls over his shoulder on the way out.
