Evie drops an idle kiss onto Erebos' head as they approach the shrine, having preferred the idea of stretching their legs out on the Sea of Glass over the busier notions of the Citadel's shrine. Given the god they fervently hope will answer their prayers, a bit of fresh air - and privacy - will hopefully go a long way to easing the nerves in the pit of her stomach.

Her offerings had been more intentionally curated this time; a hybrid flower she'd grown to completion in her greenhouse, a small piece of Amhran's wilted vines as general gratitude for his presence in their lives (the rest she'd kept tucked away as one might a baby blanket), and a strange fossil she'd found in Torchline. It's an odd array of things, but she's not exactly practiced in Rae's preferences, so she hopes her sincerity of prayer will make up for the rest. "Rae, we are hoping to improve our healing springs so that they might be capable of curing void afflictions. Can you help us?" Her eyes flit up to the grey-lit sky, hand gently rubbing Erebos' back to soothe herself more than her son.

The Sword had never held any intention in bothering or applying himself to the Big Gods; uncertain what or how to appeal, nor believing himself worthy of such regard anyway. But times were measured and distinct now, precious and not guaranteed, and with potential maelstroms brewing overhead, they had better be safe than sorry. With Halo constructed and ornamented well with protection, shelter, and sanctity, their machinations had turned towards curative methods.

Unfurling another breath, and hoping all of this worked, he followed suit with Evie across towards the Sea of Glass, hoping Rae would not mind the alteration in temperature. Tucked into his furs, he retrieved offerings to be placed alongside Evie’s – pairings of apples and berries from Halo’s greenhouse, and pearls from Torchline. He bowed his head beside the Evergreen and their son, brows furrowed, insistent upon trying and striving to get it right in their appeals. “Halo would be honored with your assistance.”

Upon the ice, Rae appears, hand in hand. Four pairs of eyes regard the Wardens, their son, their offerings. Silently they turn to one another, unspoken communication clear in the way their fingers tense and their eyes blink in tandem. Turning back after a moment, one pair of eyes directed at the Evergreen and the other upon the Sword, they speak.

"We do not like to interfere." One twin says. "Infections are a way of forcing mutations and creating a stronger immune system over the course of generations." Says the other. Again, they look back at each other, and nod, before speaking in unison.

"However you have not been given ample time to adapt and though we are keen to see how this encounter plays out, a plague does us no good. We will help you."

Tasks. There is no time limit. There are currently 9 active Halovians. This means 5 unique characters have to participate. Characters can participate more than once. Deimos and Evie must participate in at least 2 threads each.

1. A thread of at least 3 Halovians magically purifying the current hot springs

2. A PQ ensuring and shoring up the structural soundness of the current hot springs and surrounding area. Must have 8 rounds.

3. A thread with at least 1 Halovian, capturing a void Flora or Fauna from every major region (SB, TL, H, HG, GW, KE), kept alive and brought at the time of turn-in. OR one vein of Void Crystal from within Starfall Island.

It's hard to breathe when the Old God (Gods?) Evie so deeply reveres appears before them, their calm expressions providing an untouchable and ethereal nature that emphasizes their eternal natures as opposed to Mort's warmth and Vi's righteousness.

Evie understands implicitly what they mean, though her human heart has difficulty being so removed and she knows it. "Thank you, Rae. We will be sure to use it with the consideration it deserves." She has considered the benefits of keeping this as close to the chest as possible once it's instituted, if only to keep the news from reaching the Family, but such games of conspiracy and alliances are not to be taken lightly. However they go about it, Evie swears to herself that they will wield this power carefully to keep not only the infected safe, but Halo as well.
