The notions of the regenerated shield meant the Honeybee could test it out. Nodding, she opted for the icy arrows in her quiver, notching one along the strand. [say]“All right, we’ll try this out again!”[/say] Maybe as a warning – because she really did want to see the limitations, launching it in the direction of the Nightingale’s torso.

Sila took off again too, striving to gain altitude, coming around the backside to unleash her modest range of fire.

This time, Phoebe was ready, drawing on the power needed to regenerate the shield. As the arrow and flames came pummeling towards her, she raised it once more, covering both herself and Pim. The arrow and flames collided with the shield at more or less the same time. But once again the arrow did not reach its target, nor did the flames lick her skin.

Once the danger had passed the shield shattered once more, the rainbow light no longer protecting the Nightingale and the dragonling. [say]"There, that's more like it!"[/say] Phoebe said with a grin, weight still forward just in case Melita sent another volley her way.

The Honeybee could understand some limitations and restrictions now – for it must’ve taken some modicum of strength and resilience to block everything in one’s path. Having rarely honed defensive abilities, save for survival techniques and blasting her way through everything (did that count?), the notions were a bit of out of her league for the moment. Maybe one day she’d render some of those machinations within her impulsive, fire-forged brain. Regardless, she gave a modest clap. [say]“Very nice!”[/say]

And from there, they could rally back and forth, testing out the range, confidence, precision, and ease of the weaponry until they find themselves content.
