Character of the Season
Once known as the Butcher of Whitebrim, he's now The Butcher of Dygra, stepping forward as the first created demigod of the Ancients. There is no question that Astaroth casts an intimidating silhouette. Tall, domineering and dangerous, if looks could kill you'd be dead already, but to get up close and personal with the Grounds' resident cannibal tells a much different story. Dripping with charm and clad in only the finest attire, Asta is a gentleman monster, as polite as they come and committed to his role as security for the Dusklight and those who have earned his loyalty. Be careful of that smile, though - those teeth are sharp.
Congratulations, Asta!

Eating fire is your ambition to swallow the flame down
Melita was a formidable little shit, and nodded at the next set of tasks. Running, leaping, and launching on her bare feet were easy juxtapositions, as was utilizing the bangle on her ankle, floating along the waves and undulations, currents and horrors; sparing no moments, no instances, no beats of a mercurial heart.
Snagging at an armful of bottles and filling them up from the fountain’s brim, her return was nearly as swift – and she stopped at each injured individual she came across, offering the healing proportions over and over again, until they were emptied. Tireless and unrelenting, she was a resilient back and forth bee; buzzing her way through lanes upon lanes, presiding in what little salvation she could.

Every face pulled from the rubble is a weight off of his chest. Each person, familiar or not, is carried or supported as they make their way to the treatment tent. Once they appeared to have rescued everyone in the immediate area, the young Ancient turned towards the Court of the Stars. With him, he carried a bag stuffed with empty vials or any other type of container, he could get his hands on.
It's solemn and eerie to approach the fountain now but he does so. Taking as much time as he dared, the Ancient filled and sealed every container before tucking them back into his bag. Booking it back to the tents, he distributed it to the healers to sue before repeating the process until each healer had at least one vial or cup at their disposal.

As the others made trip after trip to retrieve water from the Fountain in the court, Hadama swam along the shores of the island and the coast, using the wand that Ray had left behind to offer healing of more minor wounds so that the doctors could focus their efforts on those seriously injured in the tidal waves that had resulted from the falling moon. As more able-bodied people arrived to help with the increasing number of wounded, he was able to organize less and focus more on the use of his magic, grim but determined to carry on no less than anyone else.
It was a long and difficult day for those who came to the rescue of the coast. Tireless efforts on the part of residents and visitors alike saved many who would otherwise have died. Whether it was digging survivors from the wreckage or administering healing waters to those in need, Edmund, Sohalia, Melita and Hadama earned a place in Torchline's history for their work that day.
It wasn't until much later that the mermanta would have time to see the violet slashes in the sky, or to hear the first reports of the new fauna that had begun to appear among the islands. During that first day there was only the work of saving lives until the remaining torches sprang to life amidst the deepening dark and he looked up to find the influx slowing. "Thank you," he rumbled wearily to his fellow rescuers. "There will be more days of this ahead. And even more of rebuilding. For now, take care of yourselves. Rest, please. Eat if you can. And stay safe."
This concludes the PQ. Thank you for participating in Torchline's rescue efforts!
