Character of the Season
Frail in body but dangerously quick of mind, Nikandr is the sort of character who proves that curiosity can be just as perilous as any weapon. A necromancer, inventor, and problem-solver with more ambition than self-preservation, Niki approaches the world like a puzzle box begging to be opened, even when what’s inside has teeth. Blunt, dry-witted, fiercely independent, and carrying a history best left partially buried, he has a knack for making even failure feel fascinating. Whether he’s raising the dead, moving across Caido to King's End, or experiencing a hangover for the first time, Nikandr brings a wonderfully strange spark to Caido, and we can’t wait to see what trouble his brilliant mind wanders into next.
Congratulations, Niki!

With Asta dealing with the actual cache part of this whole mission, that leaves Danta to try and play operation with a bunch of dusty objects, and he grins to Flora as he considers what they might have to do to achieve the look they're going for. "Listen," he says, "if nothing else, I can always just move everything around so it all looks disturbed, and then nothing is out of place." Backup plans, amirite?
Anyway. While the butcher tries to dazzle the Doubletake with his dusty old box, Danta begins to shift crates and move shelving as best he can to not create too much of a disturbance. The result is a strange maze-like structure that they'll have to squeeze through to place the lockbox, but it's not a bad job, he doesn't think.
"You think this is big enough? We can put the box just there." He points to a bottom shelf just revealed, between two unassuming crates of supplies.

As Asta disappeared to fetch a box, Flora was left to wonder about the tall ancient. "Sooooo...what's the story with that one?" She wonders, sounding all of 21 and wanting to know the tea on Danta's cute shadow. When they'd worked on her tavern the pair had seemed awfully cozy with every other word seemingly like an inside joke. Though it hadn't boded well for his assumed sexuality to hear that Asta and Isla were just friends (who in their right mind didn't want a piece of the Remedy, amirite), the fact that he also worked in a brothel gave Flora just a little bit of hope.
"Perfect!" The queen trills of Danta's suggested location. "No one ever really looks at knee-level, do they? It's always right on the bottom or at the top." In fact, no one ever really looked properly at all; that's something she'd learned since starting her guild.
Spinning around as Asta returned, the queen let her mouth drop open in astonishment and gratitude. "Stunning." Taking it from the Butcher, making sure to keep her fingers delicately placed around the outside so as not to brush away any more dust than was necessary, she glanced at the key. "Now...any chance of you joining my little club?" Flora wonders, dangling the key at Asta and grinning. "I'd feel better about letting you have the key, if you did."
Round 4!
Danta to put the box into the cardboard one! Flora will start putting things back in the way.
Asta to decide if he wants to join the thieves guild or not.
so give me your prayers up on your feet and i'll give you a show, it helps fill the seats
Completely unaware of the conversations surrounding him while he fetches the box, Astaroth returns after a decent amount of time for the Maverick to explain just what was up with the butcher, blissfully ignorant of any conversations that may have been had.
Instead, the sharp grin is shot toward Torchline’s queen as the box is handed off, the key glinting from where it hangs from his finger. As she takes it and compliments it, he straightens, lips quirking into something somehow brighter as his hand lifts to press against his chest. “It would be an honor, darling.” Comes the easy purr, straightening back up to rest the cane underneath both of his hands. “I could be quite valuable for you.” Tipping her a playful wink, he steps back toward the entrance to give it a cursory glance to ensure nobody else has encroached.
So far so good though.
Astaroth accepts joining the thieves guild!

so give me your sins, give me your lies but whisper your love, and i'll whisper mine
Letting out a laugh made quiet only so it doesn't attract Asta's attention from down the corridor, Danta bounces his eyebrows at Flora through the maze of shelving. "It's not a story, it's a novel," he tells her. "And we don't really have long enough here for me to even get through chapter one. For right now, though, he's an old friend from back before I was a rock for a bit. I trust him, and you should too. He's also got a sweet tooth, if you want to get in his good books."
With a wink, Danta steps back out to join Flora, basking in her praise and tilting his head at the box Asta returns with, as if seeing it for the first time in his life (because he is). "It's true, all the best people are a part of it," he agrees of Flora's club - he is, anyway, along with the Doubletake, and that's all that matters.
Carefully slipping the lockbox into a cardboard box and nestling it between the two crates at knee-high level, Danta battles his way back out to allow Flora to move things just so until she's happy.

"One of those, mmm?" The Doubletake whispers back, glancing surreptitiously towards the door for Asta as she kneed a box into position. "We do love a tall, dark, and handsome man of mystery." She hums, utterly delighted.
As Asta returns, the Doubletake lifts her eyes, letting them rake over his tailored frame approvingly before her lips part in a bright smile. "Really? Oh wonderful!" Flora purrs as she twirls the key on her finger a few times before holding it back out for the taller man. "I just bet you can." She agrees flirtatiously, and, without having heard anything to the contrary from Danta, absolutely plans to see just how far she could push that particular envelope.
Motioning for the ancients to step back, Flora appraises the storage room with slightly narrowed eyes. On a first glance it looked to be nothing more than a wildly cluttered little room, which suited her just fine. On a closer inspection, though... "Mm, just a sec." Reaching up towards one of the shelves with a rather pristine-looking cardboard box on it, Flora dusted off the shelves around it making it seem as if it was often pulled down and used. "There. Decoy." She says with a wink.
"Now, I think I owe you two fine gentlemen a round of something for the help."
