(Deimos could only chuckle through the Attuned bond towards Sah’s pouting. Perhaps channel your irritation towards helping your team. From the sidelines, to be certain, but there were more things to do than sulk and brood. The Sword would know.)

As it turned out – things could be manipulated from the confines of one’s newest jailhouse. Whether or not they were particularly helpful lent and bent more towards the ongoings and occasions – such as Rhiannon striving to distract. It served in two-fold configurations – Elizabeth and her telekinesis struggled with the outcry, and she ended up tripping and falling into the snow. But it also alarmed Hunter, coming to snag and grab the hybrid, and gave ample opportunity for Gala to come sweeping in with that damned whip again, and…one likely already guessed it, but tag Hunter as well. At least Rhiannon wouldn’t be alone.

Emma strived for her own screeching and irritating efforts again – this time on the topic of food, and it only caused Stephanie to stir slightly from her guarding efforts. It didn’t seem like anyone was coming to Emma’s aid anytime soon though – might as well have a good time.

Then, of course, there was the Frederick and Daniel saga. Would the invisible one be able to thwart the masses and save his leader? Would the clever Abandoned find the sneaky healer?

The footprints were just enough – and Daniel expanded his water magic to envelop the area in front of him – watching as water cascaded and dripped upon a shifting form in all the matter and midst; an outline of some filaments not touched at all. ”Found ya!” he shouted, trying to reach forward to grasp hold of his fellow, elusive soldier.

Daniel has used his magic to catch “sight” of Frederick and is running him down.

The shout still ended up piercing through her concentration, and as Elizabeth leaned over to manipulate the wood - she wound up flat on her face in the snow. She sputtered as dirty water found its way into her mouth and eyes, sitting back on her heels to blindly wipe at the nastiness. When she opened them again, she saw that Hunter was joining Rhi in their jail. With a big smile, she pumped a fist of victory. "Nice work, Gala!" She offered the woman a high-five but saw the muddy water still clinging there and thought better of it.

Finally standing from the ground, Elizabeth tried to peek out at the other teams. She couldn't quite tell what was going on or how they should proceed. So she looked to her star player, smiling confidently. "I think things are going pretty well. Why don't you take a second to scout close by? Then we can come up with a new plan of attack based on the other teams' statuses." Brushing off the damp residuals, she felt the electricity returning as she resumed her guard of the base.

Sah's eyes widened when he realized that he was allowed to influence the game from jail. Grinning, a plan came to mind as he heard Daniel yell out. Stepping to the edge of the jail so that Frederick could reach him easier, the hybid took a breath and tried out one of his newest abilities. There were always ravens near the Citadel, surely some would answer his call. He reached deep and then through the bond, beckoning any corvids nearby to come and swarm Daniel. If they could distract the soldier, Frederick would have a better opening to free Sah.

If his count was correct, the green team would then be out and he and Frederick could tag-team finding and capturing their flag.

Well, shit. This plan was officially going to hell.

Rhiannon's shout did have an effect - but unfortunately, it worked a little too well and startled her own team member. Hunter joined her in jail, and she clapped him on the shoulder in solidarity. Looking around, she noticed that Daniel seemed to be doing something strange with his water magic, though she couldn't see very well from this far away. She hesitated, not wanting to distract the man if he was defending their base, but also very, very stuck without his assistance.

Sighing with frustration, Rhi changed tactics. Looking at Hunter apologetically, she shifted; her form became bulky and fur-covered, and in only a moment a fully-grown ursur stood where the woman had been mere moments before. With a roar, she kicked snow in Elizabeth's and Gala's direction, hoping to blind the women momentarily as Daniel did whatever he was doing.

And then there were movements and motions; patterns nearly cyclical in design, and one competitor’s strategy coming through above all the others.

Elizabeth stayed within the confines of her Red Team’s base, likely content with the outcome. Rhiannon and Hunter served as brief distractions, especially as a large bear, but not enough to dissuade Gala, who intended to start marching out, on the hunt, for those areas not covered and flags hidden, tucked away. Emma annoyed Stephanie from the area of the Blue Team’s jail, to the point where the ningo was rolling her eyes and glancing in her direction, but with no one coming to free her yet, it didn’t seem to matter much.

It was the fight between Daniel and Frederick that would draw the most attention. While Sah did indeed manage to summon and compel ningos to fly all in a cluster, beckoning back and forth until landing nearby, the soldiers were far too focused on one another – or at least, what Daniel could surmise of Frederick. In the end, as Frederick strived to free Sah, he tripped and fell in the snow, leaving quite an impression in the powder – and Daniel to tag him…subsequently, ending up right in jail with Sah.

With both herself and Hunter in jail, it was up to Daniel to not only defend their base, but also to get his teammates back in the game. Unfortunately, doing so would leave their admittedly well-hidden flag open for the taking. Rhiannon considered their situation with a low growl, pacing back and forth in ursur form as she considered what she could do to help.

All her attempts at distraction had failed, but at least Daniel had tagged Frederick. Maybe they should go for Blue Team’s flag. She wished she could speak to Daniel through the Attuned bond, but alas - he was not Attuned. Instead, she shifted back to human and pointed towards the Blue Team’s base, hoping to catch Daniel’s eye without alerting the other teams to their plan.

Take a step back, evaluate what is important, and enjoy life.

With Gala's new information, Elizabeth wondered what to do next. If they were the only team with two players left in the field, maybe they could work together to outnumber the guard of another team's flag. As much as she wanted to free Emma, that would leave them open for Green Team to free their players.

Nodding her head with decision, Elizabeth followed Gala out of the base. "I think we should go for the Green flag. Once we take them out, Blue Team will be completely vulnerable." She stayed a little farther behind, letting Gala lead the way with her whip while she watched for if the Blue Team tried to come after their teammates. Just in case, her lightning magic was at the ready to stop them.

Sah grimaced when Frederick was tagged and reached over to help the man back to his feet and into jail. He gave his fellow jailbird a shoulder bump and grin, "Good effort." Reaching through the bond, the hybrid then spoke to Stephanie, Hey Stephanie. Both Frederick and I are in green team's jail. If you feel comfortable hiding our flag and rescuing us after, that'd be great. But if you think it's too high of a risk, keep guarding. I'll trust your judgment on it.

Noticing that Daniel was attempting to leave, the Wild Thunder called on the birds once more. There might not be enough time to even try to stop the soldier from leaving, but it was worth a try. If Daniel was in sight, then he wasn't capturing the blue flag. That was enough for Sah at the moment.

Sah updates Stephanie on what's happened through the bond and suggests she either hides the flag and comes to free him and Frederick or just keep guarding. (Her choice.) If speaking in the bond doesn't count as an action, then he'll also try and call on more birds to stop Daniel from leaving.

Assistance came in all kinds of forms, given the current circumstances, so while Rhiannon was stuck in jail, she was striving to make a semblance of a plan via hand signals alone. As luck would have it, Daniel did see her attempting to mime something, and nodded, while Hunter began to draw shapes and segments in the snow, concocting his own methods. Especially if no one was watching them.

Daniel, in the end, managed to make it to the Blue Team’s base without being spotted.

This, of course, was because Stephanie, the lone guard, was being given a set of directions via Sah, in their own bakery compound. While Frederick twiddled his thumbs, the little ningo nodded to no one in particular, save the voice ricocheting through her mind, ready, willing, and able to hide the flag. With little white bird wings and telltale hops, she placed it into a nearby snowbank, and started covering it up.

But don’t worry, Emma was watching too. She didn’t even say a word now, just smirking to herself, marking it off in her brain, just in case.

Elizabeth and Gala, however, began maneuvering. While leaving Rhiannon and Hunter unguarded, perhaps not bothered by the situation, the Abandoned wouldn’t see anyone heading to the Red Base just yet. Not while Daniel was busy, anyway. Gala managed to trip over some ice in the middle of the path, but otherwise, they could head to the Green Base, unperturbed. However…would they be able to find the hidden flag?

Sah watched Daniel leave, wary of what direciton the Abandoned was going. Elizabeth and Gala arrived soon after and the pieces began to fall into place as he did mental math. He might not know exactly who and how many people from ach team were in jail at the moment. But if two of the red team was here to capture the green flag and all of the green team was elsewhere...Then there was a solid chance that Daniel and the green team were after the blue flag. That was unacceptable.

The hybrid reached through the bond, Stephanie! I think you've got company!Hopefully Sah's warning wasn't too late. Or just as bad, distracting if Stephanie was already engaged.

With his piece said, Sah gave Elizabetha and Gala a wave, "Hi. Welcome to the green base."

Reaching to help steady Gala as she tripped on the ice, Elizabeth gave her a warm smile. "I think we've got a chance. Let's hurry." She glanced behind to reassure herself that she hadn't missed any movement heading towards their own base. It was risky to leave it unguarded, but two sets of eyes were better than one if they wanted a chance of finding the Green Team's flag.

She couldn't hide her amusement at Sah's greeting, granting him a subtle smile. "Fancy meeting you here. I hope they're treating you well?" Unguarded and without any cinnamon rolls, she doubted that was the case, however, she had other things to focus on. With her eyes darting between the Green base and her own, Elizabeth searched for the flag.

Gods, being stuck in jail sucked.

All Rhiannon had wanted was to steal a damn flag, and yet she’d managed to get both herself and her teammate captured. And in front of Deimos, no less, who was arguably one of the few people she wished to impress. Great job, Rhi.

In any case, with Hunter by her side and her arms crossed over her chest, tapping her foot impatiently, she watched as Daniel scurried towards Blue Team’s base. Hopefully he’d be smart and tag Stephanie, leaving the flag open for the taking.

The finale hung in the air; and Deimos and his constituents watched the motions carefully. Thus far, no one had needed to be healed, but the strategic plays at hand had been unfurling. What would be the most successful?

Multitudes continued to occur at a fast, clipping rate. Sah ’s warning reached Stephanie’s mind, but so did Emma’s distracting capabilities – whistling over the sounds in the ningo’s head. This left the flag half-buried and sticking out of the snow, quite visible, as she flew, and attempted to dive down to the incoming Daniel.

And while Daniel couldn’t tag someone in their own base, he could certainly try and snag their flag. Stealthy in his own right, he dodged the outstretched wings and feathers as Stephanie went wide, catching a glimpse of the Blue Team’s flag, and snagging it into his grasp. Now, all he had to do was make it back to his base.

But there were other plans at hand – the Red Team infiltrating the Green’s Team’s base. While Elizabeth couldn’t search and watch her base simultaneously (at least, certainly not the former, due to rolling), Gala’s digging, deep under the snow, earned her a victorious screech. She too, grabbed hold of the Green Team’s flag.

And now, it might ultimately be a race of thresholds.

Sah has warned Stephanie, and she drops the flag, leaving it half-buried, to try and intercept Daniel. She misses, and Daniel has now snagged the Blue flag.

Gala, for the Red Team, has found the Green Team’s flag.

As Daniel procured the Blue flag, Rhiannon let out a whoop of excitement. At least their team might not come out of this empty-handed, even if Rhi and Hunter had been captured early on in the activities. ”Daniel, run!” she screamed jubilantly. At this point, all she could do was cheer her team on.

If it was anyone else presiding over the game, she might have attempted to break the rules, just to see what happened. But it was Deimos, and she didn’t want to look like a cheater in front of him, so she stayed put in jail, jumping and yelling for Daniel to carry the Blue flag - and, consequently, the Green team - back to their base.
