[God Quest] you meditate or medicate

It doesn't feel as good as it ought to, given the somewhat bitter end to their Longnight, but it still feels good to have finished the rage room. Danta slips into the shrine on soft, bare feet, dressed in a pale linen shirt already stained with fresh blood from the hunt he'd embarked on before coming to the Temple, clicking the door shut behind him. Call him sombre for deciding to come alone for this particular celebration, but sometimes a guy just needs a moment alone with his goddess.

Effortlessly slicing his finger on the razor sharp obsidian jutting from the more chaotic end of the gemstone slab, he drips blood across the altar in an artistic pattern, before settling upon his knees before it.

"The work is done, dark lady," he purrs. "And not a moment too soon, it feels. I imagine there will be many who need this room now, and not only within the Grounds." Who knows - perhaps this addition will introduce more of the world to Dygra and her decadent brilliance?

RQ turn in for sweet agony

Tasks. There is no time limit. There are currently 7 active Grounders. This means 4 unique characters have to participate. Characters can participate more than once. Dantalion must participate in at least 2 threads and Kiada must participate in at least 1 thread.

1. A thread collecting the blood that pours from The Mountain's Roar waterfall.

2. A thread collecting Smoulder Blossoms from anywhere in The Climb.

3. A PQ of at least 3 Grounders selecting the location of the "rage room", arranging and decorating it using the materials obtained in 1. and 2. (The PQ must have a minimum of 8 rounds).

4. A thread capturing and killing something within the "rage room".

Dygra

The blood will seem to sizzle as it hits the obsidian, swirling and arranging itself in chaotic patterns, and dark heat will flood through the Maverick with his goddess's presence. Dygra thrums throughout the space, gemstones pulsing with her fire and chaos, and he will feel the sensation of soft yet strong fingers caressing his jaw and pressing down upon his shoulders, heavy and reassuring.

"I am sure that the lure of something like this will be inviting, especially in such dark times," she purrs, her sultry voice echoing around the shrine, filling it fit to burst. And elsewhere in the Temple, the torches outside a certain room flare a little brighter, the threshold suddenly seeming more than. "Go, dark boy," she urges. "Enjoy the fruits of your hard labour, and rejoice in its chaos."

The Hollowed Grounds has completed its Regional Quest and has received the following:

Rage Room | Nestled within the Temple, this otherwise innocuous room is furnished with a variety of weapons, liquor, and other unsavoury items. Once the door to the room is closed and subsequently opened again, the room - and anything/anyone within it - reverts to the state they were in when they first entered the space. In other words, what happens in the Rage Room, stays in the Rage Room.

Danta would remain on his knees before Dygra's shrine forever if he was able, relishing in the hot press of the stone, the warm and phantom caresses across his skin, the bloody glimmer of ruby and obsidian. Her presence relaxes him to his very bones, making him feel strong and capable of anything, and he closes his eyes if only to better focus on the other sensations flowing through the room.

"Thank you," he rumbles; for her approval, for her assistance, for her command. "I will, dark lady. In your name, as always." Leaning down further to press his forehead to the floor of the shrine, he remains there for a few more lingering seconds before rising back to his feet, and there's a dark and feral gleam in his eyes as he leaves towards the main area of the Temple.
