Greetings
Elizabeth

Hello. I hope this letter finds you well. How was your LongNight? I spent mine in Torchline, and despite some anxiety it passed by uneventfully. It seems I'm in the minority though. Wherever I go I hear tales of death and destruction. It's supposed to be a new year, but there's a feeling of something brewing on the horizon that makes it hard to keep my spirits up. Do you feel it too? It could just be my overthinking, but... somehow I don't really believe that.

Remember how I said I was going to relocate? I did move away from the Hollowed Grounds, though there were some wrenches thrown into my plans. Currently I find myself in the Greatwood. If not for the circumstances I might actually like it here, but unfortunately several old ghosts keep haunting me, making it difficult to move forward.

If you find yourself in this neck of the woods, would you like to meet up? I could use someone to talk to who actually have some insight, or ways to solve problems, or at least... some way to break these patterns I keep repeating. To put it plainly, I could use some therapy. Do you have time sometime soon?

It would be nice to see you again anyway, ofc. Either way I think you'll find our conversation entertaining.
Sincerely
Maea Valair

Maea

It's great to hear from you!

My LongNight was pleasant, filled with cozy fireplaces and good books, although I can't say the same for others. I, too, heard of deaths during the night. It has many people on edge, looking for ways to assist the cause, which has certainly dampened the usual festive mood of the new year. It can be hard to stay optimistic during darker times, but the sun has risen again, and we can move about freely to pursue people, places, or activities that may lift our spirits.

Maea, dear, I will always have time for you. I'm sorry to hear about the difficulty with your plans, but I've been meaning to see the Greatwood anyways, to search for some elusive flowers that everyone keeps mentioning. Perhaps we can discuss some methods for breaking cyclic thinking. Would tomorrow work?

Sincerely,
Elizabeth Fraiser

Greetings
Elizabeth,

Ah yes, the elusive flowers. You would think it easy to find blooming things at this time of year, yet despite many visitors I have heard no tales of success. It is almost as though someone walks ahead of everyone, picking all our favorites before we get a chance to spot them. I wish you luck - and let me warn you now that it is growing difficult to find lodging with the influx of travelers. If you wish, you are welcome to stay with me while you are here? I've been given the most astonishing gift - an entire house! - and I can still hardly believe it.

Tomorrow is sooner than I could have hoped for! It suits me perfectly, and I look forward to seeing you when you arrive.
Safe travels, and I shall see you again soon.
Sincerely
Maea Valair
