Maea runs forward, but she's too late to make her attack. The bone monster is already underground by the time she nears where it once was. Melita 's arrow strikes the sand and snarls out electricity which quickly dissipates.
Nathaniel 's call for a spirit is successful...ish. Help is such a vague term, after all, especially with the monster hidden beneath the sands. The air shimmers and wavers, leaving the Accepted bathed in a sheen of darkness that helps him blend into the background and might serve as a shield as well.
Ronin 's ram indeed does the trick. Fiery and loud, it thunders across the desert leaving chunks of glass in its wake where the heat from its hooves has solidified the sands. Furiously, the bone monster reappears, rising out of the sands like a geyser. With Nathaniel like some dark spectre and Ronin and Melita out of range based on its last attempt, that leaves on Maea to target its wrath.
Hurtling all of its might towards the pale-haired woman, it is by the narrowest of margins that it misses her (literally 1 pt).
