"Of course, we may yet receive information that changes our decision - for example, if the defenses can only be activated once. As we stand now though, I personally believe anyone Ascended should be able to activate the defence. Not to discriminate against those among us who are not with the Voice, but we are all well aware what an invading force would be here concerning." He glanced back at Isla to see her reaction to his words.
"I also believe it should not be restricted to only Isla and myself. If we are captured or killed early, it would leave the people we are meant to protect hopeless in our absence."
