Having stuffed one of the stars into his mouth as well, Mateo somehow manages to look suspicious of the poinsetta while munching on it. "No one wants it because they're everywhere at this time of year. Everyone's probably got one on their windowsill," he grumbles, though with a sigh, his shoulders sag and he shuffles across to plop down in front of the plant at the table.
Petunia rubs her cheek against his hand, accepting her scritches where they are due, before hopping down and mrowing away into Everest's bedroom, likely to sprawl out at the end of his bed. "I suppose you are part of the family now, aren't you, piccolo." Mateo sighs to the poinsetta, then gazes up at Ever.
"I'll take care of it. How was work...?"
