With their foes vanquished -- for the moment at least -- Juniper lets out a long sigh. Today is the closest she's ever come to dying, and she's not eager to get any closer. In fact, there's some gratitude owed for her continued survival: "Thank you," she tells Sah. "I really owe you one." And, to Noah, she adds, "Thank you for the healing, as well."
And then it's time to look forward rather than back. (Part of Juniper still wants to try to leave the house, but she will not abandon her companions.) Bracing herself, Juniper turns to the door before them. "Well ... shall we enter the playroom?"
