"Hey, don't go," he says, flashing his teeth and turning to chase after the swooping demigod. Quite what he's planning to do is a mystery to both of them, so when Ronin suddenly jumps as if to hitch a ride on his husband's (winged) back, it's very much a surprise.
Even more of a surprise when he manages it, trying to wrestle Remi down into the water as well.
