Said friend can't see the viscera and gore produced by the wendigo sating himself, luckily enough - Ronin is too busy trying to decide if he's still drowning, if he's electrocuted himself to the point of no return, or if he's just bleeding out. The last one is a near certainty, granted, but he'd like to know about the others all the same.
