Distracted as they were by the slight prick against their skin, Hadama's blow landed solidly. That would certainly bruise.
Before the King could pass by however, Kaiden attempted to retaliate by thrashing their tail in the hopes of slamming it into Hadama. Maybe if they could stun the King, they'd be able to move into open water and away from the coral. It was a goal at least. Even better if it left a bruise too.
