”Have you and Evie thought about kids?” The hunter asked, cocking his head to the side curiously. Noah and Deimos had never had this conversation. For him, it was the natural order of things. He had always wanted a wife and children, to nourish their lives here in Halo and continue the Olson line. He knew, though, that not everyone shared this same vision for their lives.
Noah continued to work, only lifting his eyes from the shingles beneath his hands momentarily to see if Deimos’ face contorted at the question. Doubtful, with the man’s general stoicism, but if it would happen it was likely to happen around Noah given the depth of their friendship. Taking a few more nails, Noah set a shingle and moved on the next, rinsing and repeating.
