Character of the Season
Frail in body but dangerously quick of mind, Nikandr is the sort of character who proves that curiosity can be just as perilous as any weapon. A necromancer, inventor, and problem-solver with more ambition than self-preservation, Niki approaches the world like a puzzle box begging to be opened, even when what’s inside has teeth. Blunt, dry-witted, fiercely independent, and carrying a history best left partially buried, he has a knack for making even failure feel fascinating. Whether he’s raising the dead, moving across Caido to King's End, or experiencing a hangover for the first time, Nikandr brings a wonderfully strange spark to Caido, and we can’t wait to see what trouble his brilliant mind wanders into next.
Congratulations, Niki!

The man spoke with an accent not terribly unlike his own, and as he did a warm and beatific smile etched its way onto Remi's features. With raised eyebrows, Remi's sea-glass green eyes appraised the door and he nodded in agreement. "On good rain shower and I am afraid your hard work will be gone." The alchemist said thoughtfully, running a hand distractedly through his curls as he considered.
"And I do have brushes. Made from horsehair." Remi continued, stepping a bit closer to better appraise the man he was now apparently bartering with. And the mention of money, the alchemist merely shrugged. Back in Northaven they'd been on a bartering system, so the idea of actual coin was a bit foreign after having gone so long without. "I am sure we could work something out." Remi said dismissively with a light laugh and shake of his head.
Was Remi an artist? Well. Certainly some had called him such but he didn't really think so, no. He was skilled with charcoal, but he only drew insofar as it assisted him with his experiments and note taking. Artistry required a creativity and imagination that the simply alchemist didn't think he had. Remi drew what he saw; if it ended up beautiful that had far more to do with nature than any skills on his part. "Oh no." He said shaking his head, despite the charcoal on his hands and the bit of blue paint still on his shirt. "I am an alchemist."
Stepping forward, he extended a hand. If Bastien took it he'd find it calloused and well-muscled from all the writing and work Remi did with his hands. "Remi Abruzzo. Pleased to meet you."
