Instead of responding she merely hums and pulls their joined hands into the water so she can maneuver better - only for his strange magic to surface once more, pulling lightly on her wrist like a physical entity. Hotaru cannot see anything visually apparent when she looks at her skin, but she doesn't try to fight it; instead maneuvering so their hands float between them so she can lean companionably against his shoulder with her own.
