Noah's eyes widened big before he pulled them in for narrowed focus. Since becoming a demigod, being gifted with so much power and so much ability, he had never had a hunt go this poorly. He ground his teeth together and lifted his bow again with another arrow nocked, anger boiling in his chest. He shot again at the first buck he had missed, the one that seemed to be leading the charge of this panic.
Vi'dore snorted and pawed at the ground, his heart pounding against his chest. As the herd stirred and bolted and ran, his every prey animal instinct wanted only to follow then. It was Noah's pull on his heart and command of his soul that kept him in place, but the whites of his eyes flashed and surely displayed every behavior he was holding back.
Eira dove in, then. Her body, large and powerful and quick, aimed to land atop a mid-size doe and bring her down. Every instinct in her screamed to help Noah make his kill, and she intended to break the doe's neck on impact, and if she didn't, she would scrap her claws down the creature's throat until it slept in its own blood.
