The whole idea of getting dinner is all the more ridiculous in light of this revelation, and as Jude holds the door open like the world's most adorable squire, Koa isn't sure whether to laugh or cry. It's really the cherry on top of what has been an outrageous day, the emotional whiplash from taking report of a mass murder of questionable self defense to getting dinner with your romantic rival who maybe has a crush on you and is now on a break from his girlfriend presumably because she propositioned you leaves him dizzy and out of breath. It's too much for him to deal with.

Nah, instead of dealing with any of this, ya boy is wading straight into de nile. Without much consideration he flings an arm across Jude's shoulders, tugging the boy out the door and out towards the bustling streets. "Right - kebabs, but we're also getting drinks. I'm off the clock, and I think we both more than deserve to get shitfaced tonight."
