The craters have resulted in next to nothing but discomfort and a prickly feeling in the air that the Flood can’t get out of his head, even as he spends the rest of the time back at the House of Midnight assuring people that things are fine. It might be a lie, it might not be, but so far other than that everything’s gone relatively smoothly for LongNight.
That is, until his presence is requested, putting a pin in any plans he’s had. He comes down the stairs to the reception area dressed in a deep blue sweater with the sleeves rolled up, dark pants, and his usual boots. His fingers glint with Nate’s wedding ring still placed there and the dual set of earrings in his ears. And of course, all the scars.
He first lays his eyes on her as he emerges from above, taking in her dark hair and pale skin and bright eyes, and being ever the gentleman (with nothing to go off of that this situation might be something he should be wary of), he gives her a crooked smile of greeting. “How can I help you?” His accented voice breaks the air and faint chatter between them.
