Character of the Season
Frail in body but dangerously quick of mind, Nikandr is the sort of character who proves that curiosity can be just as perilous as any weapon. A necromancer, inventor, and problem-solver with more ambition than self-preservation, Niki approaches the world like a puzzle box begging to be opened, even when what’s inside has teeth. Blunt, dry-witted, fiercely independent, and carrying a history best left partially buried, he has a knack for making even failure feel fascinating. Whether he’s raising the dead, moving across Caido to King's End, or experiencing a hangover for the first time, Nikandr brings a wonderfully strange spark to Caido, and we can’t wait to see what trouble his brilliant mind wanders into next.

Remi smiled boyishly and shrugged. "Some say that arts and science do not mix. I am not so sure." Perhaps that was merely Remi's naivety and ignorance talking, but he didn't think so. Despite his utter lack of formal training in anything (he'd been born a commoner, and the lowest of the low to boot), but the alchemist had a clever mind and thus far he could not easily see the contradiction between the two fields that others seemed too.
"A pleasure to meet you Bastien." Remi said, bowing his head slightly as his hand slipped back to his side. At the question of accent, the alchemist tilted his head slightly. The word was not one that he recognized, though again, that might simply be an artifact of his humble upbringings. "If you say it is. I travelled around as a boy as my father was a merchant." He offered by way of explanation. Certainly the manner in which he spoke had a great deal to do with his time spent traversing oceans and his formative years on the coast.
