The complexities of Caido, and the enigmas coiled throughout were enough to make his head spin. And no matter how many machinations and calculations he could contort, some still couldn’t, and wouldn’t, stick. They weren’t on airs of desperation, certainly not yet, but the lingering feeling in the notches of his spine, of dread and consternation and trepidation, all resided too deeply to ignore. “That is wise.”
