Character of the Season
Frail in body but dangerously quick of mind, Nikandr is the sort of character who proves that curiosity can be just as perilous as any weapon. A necromancer, inventor, and problem-solver with more ambition than self-preservation, Niki approaches the world like a puzzle box begging to be opened, even when what’s inside has teeth. Blunt, dry-witted, fiercely independent, and carrying a history best left partially buried, he has a knack for making even failure feel fascinating. Whether he’s raising the dead, moving across Caido to King's End, or experiencing a hangover for the first time, Nikandr brings a wonderfully strange spark to Caido, and we can’t wait to see what trouble his brilliant mind wanders into next.

Despite the multitude of times Remi had walked (ran, slid, jumped, and drunkenly staggered) up these stairs, his muscle-memory was apparently not up for the task. Stumbling and having to grip tight to Ronin's arm to keep from falling, Remi sighed out his frustration, squeezing his eyes shut and trying to focus with an absurd amount of energy on making it up the rest of the stairs.
"Hog the—" Remi began, sounding absolutely indignant. "Here I am, trying to cuddle you and what do I get for it? A limp body and an astral version of you sneaking away from me. Honestly Ronin, it is like the you version of faking an orgasm."
Feeling for the bedding beneath him, Remi let himself sit, and then flopping back against the bed, running both hands up and down his face several times. "So what now? I just...do that thing where I count all my steps and map out the house?" He asked, sounding entirely as if even he didn't know whether or not he was kidding.
