Weather may not have been the most interesting of topics usually, but there was enough oddity to it all this season that it had been worth the conversation, if only to determine that Stormbreak was not alone. It was something of a relief to Noe to know that her home region hadn't been singled out by the gods for some perceived slight - although that relief was mitigated somewhat by the knowledge that things were, as Melita said, "fucky" everywhere.
Their trash pile had grown as the two had talked, and debris now teetered at the top as though about to tumble back down to the sand below. Noe gathered up a few more bottles and rearranged the pile, fixing it so that an errant breeze wouldn't knock the entire thing over. She'd hate to have to start again.
At Melita's snorted reply, Noe resisted the urge to roll her eyes. Obviously Torchline was worth checking out, or she wouldn't be here, now, would she? But instead of saying so, Noe pressed on. "Well, I've seen some of Haulani, and the beaches, but what else would you recommend?"
