Everyone always assumed that the cards were harbingers of death and destruction, and it made it all the more satisfying when they spoke of calm, mundane matters. It was strange, though, to reconcile a normal, everyday sort of reading with the force of nature that was Deimos. Alys wondered what he thought of it, really, despite the wink and the smile.
