Their eyes met as Sunjata spoke, and while the conversation had turned very mundane, there was something so profound about the moment that it staggered her. It was as if her feet landed solidly on the ground only in this instance, so hard that the connection of her soles with the earth rattled up her spine and made every instance between her awakening and now seem a daze or a daydream.
