Boreal grumbled happily at the attention she received from Sunjata, ensuring that she would continue to bring boards to him as well as to Tal. The courier always gave her chin a good scratch for every delivery as well, and sometimes snuck a little tidbit of reindeer jerky in trade to boot.

Not that the pale dragon was spoiled or anything.

Everyone else he'd told the tale to - and it hadn't been many - had offered their own judgments and admonitions on his behavior, and he'd been braced for more of the same from Sunjata. The Archon's quiet understanding took the bristle from Tal's shoulders and the wind from his sails before he quite knew what he would have done if things had gone the way he'd expected, and the courier's mouth opened and then snapped shut without a sound escaping as he tried to figure out what had just happened.

"Yeah, well... I'm not not petty, prob'ly." The courier's admission was a little sheepish and a little belligerent, mumbled half under his breath as he cleared his throat, still trying to get his verbal feet under him as he ambled around the field, picking up the bits of broken ship small enough to stuff in his Bag. The current situation was probably too good to last, but... hail. For the moment, with all the rest of the world going to the void, he'd enjoy what he could while he had it.

And Sunjata's smile and gratitude sent a flush of embarrassed pleasure to the courier's ears and the back of his neck, which turned pink behind his dark, tousled hair. He ducked his head and rubbed at his nose, glad of the distraction that Boreal provided as she sauntered over with a length of rope trailing behind her like a giant snake. He knelt down to take it from her and give her cheeks a good fussing as she leaned happily into the attention with a sulfurous huff. "Yeah, well... 's not a bad place t'be," he mumbled. "But we need a proper skyport here, y'know? T'really get trade up an' runnin'. Got any plans for when t'start buildin' one?"
