Isla
"I understand," Isla says, and for the first time she really does. "Instincts are powerful things. I'm sorry about your clothes - I hope at least you'll be able to replace them easily." Not with any borrowed garments though, as it turns out, and Isla doesn't push the matter as Ever rises to his feet. "Fly? How many shifts do you have, if you don't mind me asking?"
Ordinarily she'd have brushed off the offer to make it up to her - she doesn't believe there's anything to make up for, after all - but this is Everest Hart, and the medic is starting to understand him in bits and pieces, she thinks. "Actually, if you wouldn't mind filing these when I'm finished updating them, that would be very helpful," she says, patting the pile of files beside her. "There's a shelf in my office back there where you can put them away."

I'll take a bruise, I know you're worth it
When you hit me, hit me hard
When you hit me, hit me hard
