Despite the earlier gruffness of his expression, Tal doesn’t push Thorn further on the Mercers — likely a good thing given that he has absolutely nothing good to say about the family he hailed from. As it stands now, though, he rubs at his face with that same clear amusement, before those hands splay out at his sides again, eyes closed but facing the sky as the sun continues to warm him and he assumes Tal gets back to work if his hearing is correct.
