Maybe it isn’t so bad, sitting here having idle chatter with the other man.
“Good.” He answers succinctly, before his head tilts. “A lack of wandering bodies to sate the bloodlust, but, I have managed.” His teeth and his smile can’t possibly get sharper, yet somehow it feels like they have.
