And as the Mer continues, the Nova is left looking a little bewildered, following the stranger's eyes up to the statue and the offerings left all around it. "First time up here?" he asks, as if they might be stupid. "I figured everyone this side of the islands knew what it was."
Using his other hand - gripping one of the dock posts - to haul himself back onto the deck, he ferries the Mer along with him provided he doesn't put up a fight. "I've never seen a shrine that did have a name on it," he adds, expression softening despite himself. "Either way, you should probably be glad I caught you. Ludo isn't the forgiving sort." He doesn't know it personally, per say, but it's personal-adjacent, thanks to Remi.
