"Absolutely no I did not mean that," Isla says with an emphatic shake of her head, and if Everest had tried to get up, he'd have found out how strong the Remedy could be when she put her mind to it. As it happens, all of a sudden his fingers are skating back across her skin and he's closing the distance between them, Isla's brow furrowing to hear his lips press against her ear, only for the expression to melt away entirely to hear the words that trickle from them.
"Yes," she whispers, "I'll let you." Already there's heat in her cheeks again, and though his hand wanders further, she arches against him in a way that will encourage it lower still. "Shall I show you what I like?" she continues, smiling against the line of his jaw. "Or do you want to play a game of figuring it out?"
