It’s a relief that they manage to make it out of the way of the fire as it blows past – but the smoke and animals make Thorn jump ever so slightly, shivering in the cool water while dealing with the heat ahead of them. His skin feels warm and ashy and the second that they can relax, he’s rubbing at his face and arms to try and get some of the soot off of himself, flashing an amused smile toward Zavien in the process.
He decides then and there that he likes the Stormbreak citizen. “[say]Yeah, think we did.[/say]” He agrees with a soft little laugh, rubbing at his face a little to try and keep his eyes from burning as much. He recovers, though, over the days of travel and work, without a single issue to come in contact with – idly chatting with Zavien as he wanders through and places the markers day after day.
Until, at least, he’s placing down another marker and Zavien’s voice reaches him, drawing him up to his full height (not as tall as Zavien, who Thorn thinks momentarily is quite the lucky guy), looking around the Accepted toward the place he’d been at. He stops what he’s doing to investigate, spotting the daisies and their awful aura. His nose wrinkles and his stomach churns with dread, before he steps away. “[say]They look like void... daisies? Hm.[/say]" He pauses, nibbling on his lower lip. "[say]Burning is the best idea. But maybe we can do like… A little bonfire?[/say]” He suggests, tilting his head for a moment. “[say]Let’s see if the dig team can spare two shovels and we can use those to dig up the daisies, put them in a pile and burn them?[/say]” Already, Thorn is moving to step away and grab them, once he gets the approval from the other Accepted to try that process.
Thorn suggests that they borrow two shovels from the dig team to dig up the daisies causing the issue and put them into a pile to burn/otherwise dispose of.
