After meeting with Flora and the Mer court, he had confronted his pile of waiting correspondence, only to find a familiar name among the notes.

”Koa,” he greeted, emerald eyes roaming the young warrior and noting the thinness of him, and how the laughter and passion in his eyes has been tempered into something a little harder, a little colder, but perhaps a little stronger as well. ”It is good to see you here again.” Alive. Whole. And hopefully uninfected. ”Will you join me for breakfast after this, and tell me what has happened?”
