He grinned at her disapproval, mostly because it amused him, before enacting most of his attention upon the segmented, broken particles and articles sunken to the ground. He was no artist either, certainly not from this perspective, but the shattered components rendered looked much like something taken off the battlefield. He swam a little closer, careful not to touch, but to hover along the current, scrutinizing and examining where he could. “I have no idea, but given the histories we do have…,” he shrugged briefly. “It would not surprise me.”
The Sword maneuvered onward, floating amidst the macabre garden, expecting to find more – the heads perhaps, or other statues not broken or separated in the same way. All he found were the same shambled components; beautifully captured, and cut away. “Maybe they served as a warning.” In a purely juvenile semblance, he directed his attention back to her. “Perhaps we should put up our own Halovian gargoyles along the walls.”
