With the cane in the crook of his arm, he clicks his tongue to get the shopkeep's attention (he's been gaping, open mouthed, at the sudden fyrhund in the Last Whisper) so he might go behind the counter to get him all set and ready to go.
With one ear on proceedings, Danta hears the snarling and the ripple of shock go up around the boutiques (and likely the crowd amassing outside the Dusklight), and expects to hear some strangled and pained cries a few seconds later. Only, he doesn't.
The crowd has returned very much with the intention of getting Astaroth's attention, it appears. And this time they aren't just here to cause trouble for the Dusklight, but for the tal Ancient himself, fyrhund or no fyrhund. As one, they ignite the ice magic in their blood, and rather than a few stray ice shards, this time the cold is near glacial in its intensity, trying to encase the fyrhund completely to either freeze it solid or - even better - force Asta to shift back.
