Once Mallory is done, Thal rolls her eyes. "I told you already, it wasn't kindness." The whole story is more than she was expecting. Instead of a short reiteration of the last few days, she gets the girl's life story. Despite the obvious pain associated with some of the memories, she doesn't get any sympathy from Thal. Instead, the pirate captain focuses on how she can make the situation work for her. The girl has a few skills that may be useful, but nothing that piques her interest at the moment. Sliding the second bowl towards Mallory, she starts to sip on her own broth, not even bothering with a spoon. "That's great. I'll let you know when I want to cash in my favor." Having Mallory in her debt is more appealing than letting her get off with some quick manual labor. A cunning grin plays on her face as she looks through her dark curtain of hair at the woman across the table. "If you need a ride somewhere, I could always make it two favors."
