I can't relate to  d e s p e r a t i o n

Charlie knew that pretty much everything she'd once had was gone. Her home, her possessions, even the most basic landmarks she'd once known like the back of her hand had been swallowed up by the passage of time. Everyone she'd ever said hello to, loved, fucked, (wanted to love or fuck), had respected or hated...they too were gone. Now, Charlie certainly wasn't one to mourn and certainly not one to dwell on things she couldn't change, but even the priestess wasn't immune to a bit of naive hope.

So it was that she was basically on an archeological expedition to try and literally dig up her own past.

Singing to herself as she worked (I'm working laaaate, 'cause I'm a sinGer), Charlie was presently in the process of trying to free a bit of loose rock near the opening of the Mountain's Roar. It hadn't been present when she'd lived in the climb, but there had been a fairly large water source. If it was one in the same, perhaps if she could get deeper down she'd find some of the cavern-carvings her people had once made?
