Of course he could call the shieldier of his fathers, but that would only work so long as Remi was in close proximity - so like five seconds - and he promptly drops the idea.
Instead, taking a leaf out of his fellow Accepted's book, he reaches out a second time with the silvery thread of Channelling that sits in his breast, and summons more help. "If there are any spirits out there who can keep this thing still, that would be great," he calls.
