Delighted, at first, to see that their combined efforts are working, Mateo waves his flaming branch like a caveman who has just discovered the element of fire. And as the two Ancients beside him add to the inferno, it looks as though they're absolutely on to a winner - which is about when Jude's arrow thocks into the creature and it rotates slowly around to go after him.
"Fanculo," the botanist hisses, biting at the inside of his cheek and glancing over his shoulder. "No, over here!" he urges, throwing the fiery branch at the Void Horror and continuing deeper into the Oerwoud.
"Can you maybe start a fire further into the jungle for it to go towards? It might just walk into it and burn itself to death?" he asks the Ancient and his fyrhund friend. "I can lead it towards it."
Mateo tosses his flaming branch at the Void Horror and suggests Astaroth and Dantalion start a fire deeper into the jungle for him to lead the creature to!
